Greetings!

I am a Vietnamese-American from Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville is the beautiful city where I was born and have lived. My pastimes include fishing, swimming, and playing basketball. I prefer to be active, whether it is walking around my neighborhood or exercising in the gym. I have traveled to many areas in the United States, specifically the beaches of Destin and Miami, the streets of Hollywood and Las Vegas, and fishing trips around Southern Indiana and Kentucky. I have only traveled out of the country once, as I enjoyed the islands of Turks and Caicos. I plan on visiting Vietnam, my parents’ native country, so I can fully experience the language and cuisine that I became accustomed to at home. My life as a Vietnamese-American has shaped my open-mindedness in respecting and learning about other cultures. Moreover, I have improved my self-discipline practices from competitive swimming and maintaining a rigorous academic schedule. My religious identity as a Roman Catholic has strongly influenced my beliefs, as I partake in community service, faith-based activities, and prayer. From my pastimes, I have learned to be a patient individual who can balance an academic and personal life.
